About The Leadership Team

The leadership consists of both elected and appointed members.

The elected officers comprise the Board of Directors and are elected by the membership through an online voting process each May. Candidates are nominated by the membership in March/April and submit candidate materials that include a resume, a candidate statement and headshot which are shared with the membership, and a supervisor's letter of support. Newly elected officers go through an onboarding and orientation process during summer and early fall and begin their terms at the close of the annual conference.

The appointed officers include committee chairs, the technology coordinator, and the exhibitor liaison and are ex-officio members of the leadership team. Candidates are nominated by the membership in March/April and then submit application materials that include a resume, statement of interest, and supervisor's letter of support by the end of April. Appointed positions typically serve 1-2 year terms and do not vote on the association's business. Newly appointed officers go through an onboarding and orientation process during summer and early fall and begin their terms at the close of the annual conference.
