An Opportunity To Learn, Lead, and Serve

Leading the organization of GLACUHO is a professionally enriching and rewarding opportunity. Please consider those professionals you work with and know who you feel would make a great leader in our organization. GLACUHO strives to provide a board of leaders that accurately represent our entire membership. In this vein, please consider nominating professionals who identify as members of traditionally underrepresented groups, work in public and private schools that are both large and small, and those from faith based institutions as well. Additionally, you are most welcome to nominate yourself recognizing that a strong self-commitment to serving the organization is required for success.

Currently Seeking Nominations for Qualified Individuals

To Be Elected at the 2018 Annual Conference

  • President-Elect: Elected at the Annual Conference GLACUHO Business Meeting 
  • Indiana Delegate: Elected at the Annual Conference State Meeting for Indiana 
  • Ohio Delegate: Elected at the Annual Conference State Meeting for Ohio

To be Appointed prior to the 2018 Annual Conference

The following committee chair positions are appointed and begin their preparations prior to the 2018 Annual Conference. Official transition occurs at the conference.

  • Inclusion and Equity Chair

  • Professional Foundations Chair

  • Student Learning Chair

  • Contemporary Issues Committee Chair (Topic: Emergency Preparedness: PLanning, Implementation, and Training)

  • Programming and Development Assistant Chair
    (This is a two-year appointment, first year as the assistant chair and the second year as the Programming and Development Committee Chair.)

  • Conference Host Committee Assistant Chair
    (This is a two-year appointment, first year as the assistant chair and the second year as the Conference Host Committee Chair for the 2020 Annual Conference.)

Nominations Process

For more information about each position, visit the GLACUHO Leadership Manual. All nominations are to be submitted on this website on the form below. Nominations are collected and reviewed by the President, and nominated individuals are contacted to gauge interest and to explain the next steps. Individuals who wish to run for an elected position must provide a headshot photo, prepare and submit a candidate statement, and give a speech to at the Annual Conference. Individuals interested in appointed positions are asked to submit a statement of interest and qualifications. All interested nominees (for both elected and appointed positions) will need to submit a current resume and a letter of support from their current supervisor. All materials are due by 8:30 a.m. Central on Friday, September 14, 2018. If an individual would like further guidance on the process, please contact the Past President at pastpresident@glacuho.org Please note that an individual does not need to be nominated to submit materials for a position.
