<description><![CDATA[As a four-year live-on liberal arts institution in western Illinois, the Residence Life Office at Monmouth College doesn't do much to communicate our residency requirement.  However, we talk a lot about the various on-campus housing options available from 1st-year students through seniors.  We simply market ourselves as this type of liberal arts institution.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[Our residency requirement is unique, in that it's tied to a student's ability to remain enrolled. At present, we have a one year requirement, which is communicated to students via Admissions as well as through our department website. There isn't really a need for us to "sell" it to students, as it's a policy, so if a student has issue with it, they would need to explore another university. Any exceptions (very rare) are made by the College Dean of Students office and communicated to our department.]]></description>
