Family Housing

Indiana State University is revisiting its policies on family housing, and we could use some help in benchmarking with other institutions. We are currently under a fairly traditional model (married students, students with children, and at times additional caregivers for a child), but it becomes especially grey when we factor in our international student population.

If your institution has family housing, who qualifies for this? Married students only, domestic partners, or even engaged students? If a student has a child, can a non-student biological father/mother live with them? Can uncles/parents/sisters/etc. live there with them, and/or is there a limit to number of occupants per apartment type? For any of this, what documentation is required?

I would greatly appreciate the assistance!
