Preparing an Excellent Program Proposal

Deadline for Program Proposal Submissions

Our Purpose

To better prepare housing officers to meet the diverse and changing needs of those we serve with primary concern for students.

To contribute to the improvement of dining services, residential life, and residential facilities provided by housing officers.

To advance and communicate professional knowledge and standards in the field of student housing.

To provide opportunities for education of professional development of housing officers.

To sponsor activities and services which assist housing officers in the exchange and distribution of information and ideas.

To be supportive of the goals and purposes of the Association of College and University Housing Officers-International (ACUHO-I).

Welcome to GLACUHO!

We are the Great Lakes Association of College and University Housing Officers. We are here to learn, lead, and serve with Housing professionals in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio.

Our new online community has been designed to serve as a resource for our members, a place to network and interact, and a portal for all of the professional development opportunities we offer.

If you have not registered for an account yet, please do so. Membership in GLACUHO is free and open to all housing professionals in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio.

About Our New Website

We are excited to unveil our brand new website for 2014. After seeking feedback from our members, from exhibitors, and from our board, we knew that an updated website was important to our members and necessary to move our association forward. After careful research and months of planning and development, we have now launched this new site publicly.

Exciting New Features

If you have not yet registered, sign up today. This will allow you access to a wealth of features that our new site can offer. Some of these new features include interactive discussion groups by state, committee, and topic; networking, resources, and events, as well as other features that are still being implemented.

As you get started, we encourage you to complete your online profile and upload a head shot photo. If you have suggestions, ideas, or feedback, please let us know any time using the Contact Us link.
