Appointed Board for 2017-2018 Announced

The GLACUHO Elected Board recently met and selected the following Appointed Board members who will begin terms at the 2017 annual conference. The decisions were tough as there were several qualified candidates.

Contemporary Issue Committee Chair:

  • Crystal Kitten, Indiana Wesleyan University

  • Term runs from 2017 to 2018

Campus Safety & Crisis Management Chair:

  • Ray Tennison, Loyola University Chicago

  • Term runs from 2017 to 2019

Communications & Marketing Chair:

  • Megan Corder, Eastern Illinois University

  • Term runs from 2017 to 2019

Programming and Development Assistant Chair:

  • Eddie Koelzer, The Ohio State University

  • Term runs from 2017 to 2019

Health & Wellness Chair:

  • Yesenia Garcia, University of Illinois Chicago

  • Term runs from 2017 to 2019

Exhibitor Liaison:

  • Zac Birch, Purdue University

  • Term runs from 2018 to 2020

Technology Coordinator:

  • Jeremy Alexander, Eastern Illinois University

  • Term runs from 2018 to 2020

At the annual conference in Indianapolis, we will elect a President-Elect, Secretary, and Treasurer, as well as the state delegates for Illinois and Michigan. The following candidates have submitted statements of interest which can be read at https://www.glacuho.org/page/2017_Elections.

President-Elect:

  • Carl Krieger, Purdue University

  • Eric Musselman, DePaul University

Treasurer:

  • Justin Schuch

Secretary:

  • Currently no declared candidates.

State Delegate for Illinois:

  • Michelle Mason, Augustana College

  • Mollie Rockafellow, University of St. Francis

  • Rexann Whorton, Lake Forest College

State Delegate for Michigan:

  • Ashley Knapp, Kalamazoo College

  • Joshua McPhatter, Eastern Michigan University

The elections for the President-Elect, Secretary, and Treasurer will occur Monday morning  at the Business Meeting-Part 1, while the elections for the State Delegates will occur during the state meetings on Sunday afternoon. Due to number of elected positions and amount of items on the agenda, the Business Meeting will be split into two parts this year, both on Monday, November 13. Candidates are also permitted to run from the floor. We look forward to your questions for our candidates.

I am confident that we have selected individuals who have shown a track record of involvement in GLACUHO and will serve our association well.
