The ACUHO-I Standards and Ethical Principles for College and University Housing Professionals document contains both standards and guidelines. The Standards provide a compendium of best practices that all colleges and universities operating student housing are strongly encouraged to use regularly. Oshkosh Placement Exchange provides an efficient means for college and university employers to meet and interview candidates from across the country. Most employers interview for entry level, graduate assistant, and post-master's degree residence hall positions. One may also find limited Student Activities, Programming, Leadership Development or Greek Affairs positions.

- Central Atlantic Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls (CAACURH)
The Central Atlantic Affiliate of College & University Residence Halls (CAACURH) is one of eight regions making up the National Association of College & University Residence Halls (NACURH) Inc. The Central Atlantic Affiliate includes residence hall organizations from Delaware, Maryland, Washington, D.C., West Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, the nation of Qatar, and the members of the United Arab Emirates. CAACURH offers member institutions opportunities such as: serving on regional committees and voting on policy under which our organization operates among others. The Central Atlantic Affiliate also encourages the sharing of ideas between member institutions, focuses on the development of student leadership and fostering a sense of regional pride.

The Great Lakes Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls is a student-run organization working to promote and improve student life on college and university campuses across the region, including Michigan, Ontario, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Indiana.
