Lunch and Learn

Sponsored by Savoy

The Student Learning Committee is excited to offer Lunch and Learn, a free opportunity for GLACUHO conference attendees! We will discuss a case study and article on the contemporary issue of this year’s conference. We will explore the strategic, programmatic, behavioral, and academic interventions that we as housing officers and campus administrators can provide to cultivate skill building for our students. Space is limited, and interested participants should sign-up during conference registration. The event will take place Tuesday, November 14, from 12:30-2:00pm (during the open lunch time.)

Case Study Competition

The Contemporary Issues Committee is sponsoring the Case Study Competition for graduate students, entry-level, and mid-level professionals. This year's case study topic is Student Advocacy: Helping Support Students with Dissenting Behaviors. Participants will sign up in pairs and will be sent the case study by Friday, November 10. Then, on Monday, November 13, the pairs will present their results to the judges during the time selected when they sign up.

To sign up for the case study competition, please visit http://www.glacuho.org/?Case_Study.

GLOW-CUHO 5k

The Health and Wellness Committee is excited to announce the return of the GLOW-CUHO 5k on Sunday evening after the opening banquet! Beginning at the conference hotel, we will head to the course location. From there, we'll walk, run or roll a 1 mile loop around a small pond. The loop will be staffed with conference volunteers throughout. Travel the loop three times for a 5k or once for a quick post-dinner jaunt! Participants should meet at 8:45pm on Sunday, November 12, in the conference hotel lobby. Pack warm gear for our Midwest November weather! Consider wearing bright clothing to increase your visibility and to fit the GLOW theme!

This is a free event, and advance registration is requested (during conference registration).

GLACUHO AFFINITY GROUP SOCIAL HOUR

The Inclusion and Equity Committee will be sponsoring a social hour for affinity groups to meet and mingle Sunday night before the GLOW-CUHO 5K. The event will take place at 8:00 PM at the conference site. There will be light snacks and drinks served during the social hour. Please stop by and connect with the professionals from the GLACUHO region!

At this year's annual conference, GLACUHO has designated a space for delegates of all faiths, creeds, and backgrounds to commit time to prayer and/or meditation. The space will be open and available throughout the day, providing a quiet setting for these activities as delegates deem necessary. Please feel welcomed to make use of this space!
