Please consider those professionals you work with and know who you feel would make a great leader in our organization. GLACUHO strives to provide a board of leaders that accurately represent our entire membership. In this vein, please consider nominating professionals who identify as members of traditionally underrepresented groups, work in public and private schools that are both large and small, and those from faith based institutions as well. Additionally, you are most welcome to nominate yourself recognizing that a strong self-commitment to serving the organization is required for success.

To be Appointed prior to the 2016 Annual Conference
The following committee chair positions are appointed and begin their preparations prior to the 2016 Annual Conference. Official transition occurs at the conference.
- Student Learning Committee Chair
- Inclusion and Equity Committee Chair
- Professional Foundations Committee Chair
- Contemporary Issues Committee Chair (Topic: Student Advocacy: Helping Support Students with Dissenting Behaviors)
- Programming and Development Assistant Chair
(This is a two-year appointment, first year as the assistant chair and the second year as the Programming and Development Committee Chair.)
To Be Appointed Following the 2017 Annual Conference
These positions require an orientation period preceding the official assumption of the term. The orientation period begins in February 2018 and concludes in November 2018, at which time the individuals move into these roles in an official capacity. The term for these positions is November 2016-November 2018. During the orientation period, the selected individual will shadow the person currently in the position and meet on an as-needed basis. There is no expectation that the selection individuals participate in Board of Directors meetings or responsibilities. The individuals selected may also serve on a GLACUHO committee during this period if so desired.

Advisory Board and Task Force Appointments
In addition to the leadership opportunities above, GLACUHO is accepting nominations for the following non-board positions. These positions are appointed and begin a 2-year term at the annual conference.
- Financial Advisory Board (FAB) - 3 members to be appointed
This group of professionals advise the treasurer and the tri-presidents on the financial decisions of GLACUHO.
- Exhibitor Advisory Board (EAB) - 3 members to be appointed
This group of professionals advise the exhibitor liaison and the tri-presidents on decisions related to the Exhibitor show, sponsorship, and our relationship of GLACUHO. This includes both exhibitors and housing professionals.
- Technology Advisory Board (TAB) - 3 members to be appointed
This group of professionals advise the technology coordinator and the tri-presidents on use of technology and best practices within the association.
All nominations are to be submitted on this website on the form below. Nominations are collected and reviewed by the President, and nominated individuals are contacted to gauge interest and to explain the next steps. Individuals who wish to run for an elected position must provide a headshot photo, prepare and submit a candidate statement, and give a speech to at the Annual Conference. Individuals interested in appointed positions are asked to submit a statement of interest and qualifications. All interested nominees (for both elected and appointed positions) will need to submit a current resume and a letter of support from their current supervisor.
